Alicante/Gran Alacant
Alicante is the main city. The beaches are glorious with a 6 km coastline. There is a busy harbour where you can watch the hustle and bustle of city life. Gran Alacant is a popular development area being close to beaches and the airport. The Terra Mitica is nearby.

Guardamar
Is an attractive town with one of the largest beaches in Spain at 11km. There is a natural pine forest leading down to the sand dunes and sea.

Playas de Orihuela and Torrevieja
Very popular with the British with many restaurants and wonderful beaches. The shopping and all facilities are first class with excellent hospitals and schools. Particular popular neighbourhoods include Cabo Roig, Playa Flamenca and La Florida. If you are settling in Spain permanently this may be the ideal area.

Villamartin/Las Ramblas/Campoamor
The holy grail of the golfing fraternity. These are lovely neighbourhoods where apartments and villas can be found. Resales are often available here. |

Elche
Slightly inland and a charming town, initially known for its palm trees. Golf courses can be good here and you'll find properties with very generous plots of land. If you want a quiet life you will find it here. There are beautiful botanical gardens, El Huerto del Cura (Priest’s Garden), which are well worth a visit. Leather goods are a local speciality.

La Mata
La Mata is a small town north of Torrevieja. This sleepy town bursts into life once a week when its hosts a lively market. There are bargains to be had as many Spanish travel from far afield to visit this traditional market. La Mata also hosts some of the nicest all year round beach’s along this fabulous coast line.
