Thanks again, Jane Keenan My wife and I can only express total admiration in the way our whole trip to Spain was organised although it was a bit of a surprise to find that we were being taken down to the Costa Almeria from Alicante, as we had not expected to be looking for property so far south! However, the trip was more than worthwhile as we did buy a superb 2 bedroom apartment on the El Faro development near Vera, despite it being above our original budget. The flight on Easyjet was trouble-free, and despite a slight hold-up at Gatwick due to the snow, we arrived virtually on time. Our courier Allan was very friendly and looked after our needs on the 2 hour journey, before handing us over to a bright and cheerful Geordie named Charles Braunne, who met us at the Hotel Mexico. He is to be congratulated for his friendliness and obvious enthusiasm for the job, as he showed us around the area and selected properties without any pressure at all. The property we settled on was only shown to us as an example of excellent quality building, because he thought that it was out of our budget! It was a good job that he did, as a second family wanted to buy it just 30 minutes after we settled the deal. He took us to excellent restaurants in the evenings, and even provided us with a bottle of champagne which was delivered to our room after we had left him on the last night there. To cap that, he was in the hotel reception at 6.20am the next morning to bid us farewell, which we considered to be ‘beyond the line of duty’. An excellent four days, and we are returning on March 1st for 4 days to finalise matters with the solicitor etc. Furthermore, Jo in the After Sales department has arranged our hotel accommodation and appointments already after just one ‘phone call. But was shown a property 200m from the beach, overlooking a communal pool, very close to the la manga strip and San Javier airport an excellent area and good rental potential.
