High Standard - Low Costs
The cost of living is substantially lower than in the UK. The food
is cheap all year round. Most towns have regular markets and
people come from miles around to buy fresh fruit and
vegetables making the healthy Mediterranean diet a way of life.
Restaurant and tapas bars are very reasonable and dining out
doesnt have to be a special occasion, it is affordable anytime, below are some typical prices for everyday items: |

Communications
The Spanish telephone network has come a long way in a short time. A telephone installation is normally a matter of a few days thanks to a great variety of operator services and free service providers, it is today quite cheap to make international calls to the U.K. and elsewhere. Spain boasts one of Europes most extensive cellular networks and new technologies such as ADSL are already being installed in most provinces.

Pets
Following the harmonizing of national and E.U. laws it is normally no problem to transfer your furry friends to Spain. Some planning is needed though as procedures such as vaccinations and certificates may take several months.
